I always found it really sad. It's a sad song.
I am very thankful that I am only familiar with the song because of the Nostalgia Chick
Sometimes it pays off to live in the middle of Nowhere :monster:

Yup, literally never heard of it outside of Jinx talking about it. Never going to watch/listen to/eat whatever the hell it is.

Aexoden/Jason of chat-fame once said this was the worst christmas song ever made. I downloaded it from him shortly afterwards, because this was before the youtube age, and i found myself in agreement.

but why would i want to watch it if it is as irredeemably bad as you say? like, isn't it a compliment that people heed your warning?

I guess I see it as a reminder that in my Christian life there's time when my heart can be cold and focused on things that aren't truly important. I hope I'm never so far gone that I need a dirty little boy to ask me for a few dollars to buy some shoes for his dying mother to wear for me to snap out of it and get over having to do some last minute shopping.
That being said, I can only stomach this song one or two times a season.
I had never even heard of the song, or the group (NewSong) that sings it, or the film (which I've still never seen), until I moved to Ohio seven or so years ago.
I have heard it at least 50 times a year ever since.
