I think my favourite boxed choccies are those Guylian Hazelnut Pralines in the seashell shape. Urrrrggghhhhhhhhh just so delicious. I wish they would make a bar of their chocolate, because I fricken love it but a box of those seashells is just a bit posh and expensive for a bog standard friday snack.

Quality Street are also pretty up there to be honest.

You said the best ones in the first sentence. No more needs to be said.

Guylian for smurfing life. I am addicted. Also not too pricey, Tesco often has them on sale for £3 which isn't nightmarishly bad compared to if you're in a department store like Debenhams or John Lewis (don't judge, New Street station has one in the middle of it and it's better to bumble about there than spend ages staring at a departures board) when you see the same box go for a tenner.

Also, I've got news for you.

They're pretty bloody rare but I've had 'em.

Probably a tad tricky for you to get hold of, Miss Fury... but Lidl do their own version of the Guylian chocolates and MissH says there is literally no difference. Plus, they are about a third of the price!

I kind of overdid it on the Guylian at some point, because they were always on sale at the local co-op. I did the same with Toblerone some time ago. These days I think I might prefer the Thornton's stuff, although I'm not sure if you count them as boxed. They're usually in bags, but sometimes you can get them in boxes, I think... but yeah, basically the truffles. Thornton's truffles are something amazing. The Viennese ones are my favourite. I don't have much chocolate these days so I don't overdose on them either, which helps me stop getting sick of any particular kind.

I really used to like the apricot chocolate that Thorntons did. I'm sure at some point though, Thorntons got bought out and after that I wasn't as keen on them anymore. I got a few boxes of Thorntons at a few points when I was in the UK last year and yeah... they weren't doing it for me!

But were they truffles? The normal chocolates at Thorntons are kind of average.

The apricot ones? Yeah they were a truffle of some kind - bloody delicious too!

The boxes were the ones with all kinds of chocs.

EDIT: They're called Apricot Delice!
