I couldn't find it. I had a digital painting thread and a inktober one but uhhhh..

I have a new project:

To keep myself accountable for my 52 in 52 book reading challenge, I'm going to draw a fanart from each book as incentive to finish the damn things.

So I did one today. Here is a sketch of Cinder from.... Cinder by Marissa Meyers. She's supposed to be slender.. and asian and I tried a new angle with her head and I dunno if I like it but whatever.

Yeah that idea didn't work but I have been sketching/working on things more lately.

Have a cute chunky zergling I doodled today.

My nightelf druid I doodled the other day

And I've been working on a digital painting. It's taking me a bit longer than it should but i'm happy so far with what i have. Still a WIP

It's inktober! I'm doing witches again! This time I'm going to attempt to watercolor as well. I've never really watercolored so we'll see how this goes.

I did this on just normal paper and I need watercolor paper. This was harder to blend and it kept absorbing the water weirdly so yeah this was hard.

I started it with it being a "Starbucks fall Witch" But it doesn't really seem fallish at all! Oh well! I'll try better to keep with the theme tomorrow. YAY ART!

Student Witch!

Started on actual watercolor paper this time. Plus I watched some youtube videos about watercoloring so I tried some of those practices too and it came out really well. I'm very pleased with this. Onto the next one!

Watercoloring is fun!

Day 3 of Inktober Today is a winged/avian witch. What started as just a wood witch with feathers turned into a witch Teen Titans' Raven.

Weird how that worked out, heh.

The hair gave me some trouble on coloring this one. I ended up running out of time to work on this so it isn't as good as I had hoped.

I was a little tired of witch hats so I went for a twig crown. It's neat. Still a work in progress on learning how to paint with watercolors though. Gotta learn somehow I guess! Now to think of what to do for tomorrow's prompt!

Day 4: Gemstone witch!

I am not happy with this one. I had a lot of super neat ideas that I couldn't quite get right because I suck at hands. Sooooooo badly. I ended up just doing a profile view here. idk. I'm not proud of this one. It's mediocre. Oh well that's how you get better though is by trying over and over and over again until it works right.

Day 5 is Totally 80's! I made a punk rock witch with a kitty! Her head is bigger than it should be but I didn't realize that until after i already started inking. I was drawing at an angle so I think that is why

I haven't been updating. I ended up gettingbehind due to a busy weekend. SO I had to crank 4 out in one day on tuesday so they're all sub quality.

So we have a Fairy Godmother witch, A Camper Witch, a Medusa, and A Zombie Witch.

Yesterday was a Dragon Witch and I'm working on Flemeth (Ya know she's a Witch of the Woods AND a Dragon, it made sense to me anyway) but we had a family emergency and had to leave the house so I wasn't able to finish. So I should finish her tonight instead. I"m very proud of her so far so here's a little snippet of what I have. Still a Work in progress of course

You can see the difference in the ones above that I didn't take time on and her whom I did put time into

I ended up getting too swamped with life and had to drop this (again). Which frustrates me a bit as I never seem to be able to make consistent time for myself for these projects. Too many people expect me to do too much and I never have enough time for me.

yeah i get that

i got to october 5th and things broke down

i caught up to oct 8th on the 15th... i've decided i'll finish but not necessarily in october... i like this though, great practice/project. witches!

You've a nice technique with the way you use pencil. I dig your style. The last one is particularly impressive.

I've gotten better.

Druid fun

More fan art where I tried painting.
