FF Talk - Too Many Announcements?

Now that we live in a post-FFXV world, Del Murder and I took the time to look back on some... interesting trends that SE has decided to follow in its game announcements.

We've all joked about "Please be excited" and announcing announcements of announcements, but where did it all start? And where is it going? Will XVI meet the same fate? Have a listen as we discuss what we think about all this - and feel free to join the discussion!

Agreed on pretty much everything... I'm not a fan of way too early announcements in the slightest. Though the fact that Square Enix is so happy to make them is what really makes me doubt the XVI theory. If they were really already developing it behind the scenes, they wouldn't just shut up about it. Buuuut I really, really hope I'm proven wrong ^^

Psychotic gets the real credit for these talks by editing down 90 minutes of audio into a nice 20 minute package and throwing in the relevant clips for each segment. I listen to a lot of podcasts and I now have new appreciation for the editing process.

I had a lot of fun talking with Fynn! I need to fix my acoustics if I am to do more of these.

Have they ever said what was up with the Chrono Trigger music teaser from a few years ago? Are they remaking that too, or do they have a 3rd one on the books?

They teased the music but I have heard nothing since I heard the music teased. Maybe they scrapped what they were doing.
