Who do you give it to? Do you give it to the already buff member so they can take more hits? How about the squishy mage so they can take one? Or do you just dump it all in the hero because they need ALL THE STATS? This goes for all stat items. Do you cover weaknesses or buff up strengths? Or just dump them to one character?

Me, I like to buff up the already strong characters. This guy has 50 more HP than the next, MORE HP and Defense! That mage has 60 more INT, well she needs MOAR!

I use those items to compensate for the weaker stats

Did you meant to put this in the General RPG section? I can move it for you.

I literally always save these for the last second

And it's totally called a Seed of Resilience, btw :p

Ugh, I never know what to do with these. Giving it to a tank makes sense. Giving it to a mage also makes sense.

I think when it comes down to it, I make everyone cripplingly overspecialised and buff their main stats. If my tank is doing their job my squishy wizards shouldn't be getting hit anyway!

In games where there isn't really a main tank like in Tales of Xillia (you don't even get a taunting move until like the very end!) I might buff my squishy character's defenses, though.

For an HP/Defence boost, I'd give it to the squishies to make them less squishy. Every other kind of stat boost: main character/my favourite character.

In Dragon Quest? Whichever character who will be in my final party has the worst defense. There aren't really "tanks" who can draw hits. In some other games... well, depends, but the priority is always "someone who I know I'll always use."

Yea, probably more relevant there.

I have a habit of giving stat boosts to my favorite character - whether they need it or not haha.

I hold onto things like this in case I need them later then forget about them, a la elixirs. "Oh look, I've already beaten the game & didn't use the gold apples! Oops.":erm:

I honestly can't remember who I gave the seed of resilience to.

I make those strong in particular stats stronger so usually my tank, if applicable.

I usually give them to the most squishy member. Either a Mage or a DPS glass cannon.

Dragoon, they're always floor tanking.

Jokes aside, usually my tank-ish character or the one with lowest defense, especially if they're in melee range.

Yeah depends on the type of game. If it uses MMO rules like d Dragon Age and there is a dedicated tank to draw aggro then give him more defense. But if it's a normal game then I'll bring up a weak character since they can and will get hit, make them better capable of surviving

It will largely depend on the game I'm playing. In most games I leave it for the end and simply forget about them. In MegaTen games on the other hand, I use them without hesitation.
