View Full Version : Character names in NES version?

I'm playing this game for the first time, and it's the DS remake. It got me wondering about something...

As we know, the playable characters on the DS version have been given proper names. I read that the NES version never gave them names.

But I am wondering, what their names were listed as in the NES version? I mean, surely there is some text when that character is speaking and when that character is being selected in battle? So I am asking, what does the text say? (translated to English of course)

You name the characters yourself and the dialogue is usually whoever is first in line when actually talking. Their are no canon names for the Onion Knights besides the DS remake, though there was a novelization of the game (Japan only of course) back in the day that gave them names, though they are not considered canon. They are: Muuchi, Doug, j. Bowie, and Melfi. Interesting enough, they are three dudes and a girl like the DS version.

Course none of them are going to beat my four man band:
