Which are some of your favorite demons/personas from the SMT franchise?

Been playing way too much Persona 5 lately and was happy to see Neko Shogun return as well as Mot. So the franchise has several hundred demons and personas to choose from, what were a few of your favorites?

I also like Gozuki and Mezuki a lot. And Cerberus is awesome for sticking around sincve SMT I where he had an important role. Heck, he had an important role in the original Megami Tensei novel, even!

There's a lot of demons I love, though, so I might come back later.

Seth was my Fire-centric persona MVP in P3. I've already mentioned how much I love Neko Shogun as well. Thanatos is another one of my faves from P3.

On the MegaTen front, Arahabaki is one I always look forward to since he's almost always the first demon you can acquire with the Null Physical characteristic. Shiva is also almost always one of my favorite demons to acquire.

Beelzebub is also pretty OP in all of his incarnations.

Matador - just because Nocturne was my first Shin Megami Tensei game, in which he's the first real challenge you encounter and he will teach you that buffs and debuffs are king in this series.

Alice - For being a murdering demon version of Alice in Wonderland

Pixie - Who doesn't love Pixie? She's awesome and always one of the first healers you get.

I loved that you could actually acquire Matador in Persona 5 - could you do that in previous SMT games? I can't remember.

I've always been a fan of Rangda's Repel Physical. In terms of design, I like Shiki-Ouji, Setanta and Titania (the version with the green dress - not the Soul Hackers one)

He's available in SMTIII, IV, IVA, Strange Journey, Persona 4, Persona 5, and Persona Q. He's appeared in quite a few games, but only those games let you acquire him as a partner.

Not to mention there is usually some weird joke with him, like how Velvet Room members will make a comment if you have him/her equipped, or MegaTen usually doing some funny humor for him like when he was summoned in Nocturne but the summoning was botched so he came as a weird slime instead of his normal form.

He was part of my endgame team in both P3 and Nocturne. (how ironic for the latter given he was a huge help in the previously hopeless Lucifer boss) He just has such a great look and that laugh of his is amazing.

I guess the theme song shouldn't really count but it's still so good. It starts off very intimidating and foreboding but then it morphs into something majestic and heroic.

You reminded me that Beelzebub is usually one of my in-game summons in every game he's available except Neutral path in SMT1. I love his theme in Nocturne as well, but he's actually been one of my favorite Personas in every game.
