Also what day of the week works best for you all for a release? My plan is to release it next week, between the 19th to the 23rd. I've found that EoFF is basically dead (like in the game!) on weekends so didn't know if that would be a good idea, but it would also give you all more time to play it. I estimate it'll be between 3 to 5 hours total for the average player but I haven't done my final play test yet so I couldn't tell you.

I've been so good! I'm sort of successful these days, despite what rumors you may hear. I mostly just keep up with old EoFFers via Social Media these days. The Twitters and the Facebook. I drop by here like once every six months, or when I need to make a post about an upcoming FF.

So, some news! I have finished work on the game. The compressed RAR file clocks in at a much-higher-than-i-thought 321 MB. I think half of that is music.

There have however been some real difficulties in deployment because RPG Maker is a bag of balls. Long story short, and this is perhaps more for FFNut's benefit than anyone else's as I know he uses it too, if you use any game asset such as a sound, song or image through a plug in and not the in game editor, the deployment engine decides it's unused and leaves it out of the final deployment. Thus when you go into battle with, say, theundeadhero, he apparently doesn't exist and the game crashes or is stuck on a permanent hanging loading screen.

My weekend will now be spent extensively playtesting and trying to make it crash. Maybe I'll enlist a Stormblooder or two to help me so they can experience it before their new addiction is released! :p Anyway, consider this an apology in advance if it's a buggy piece of shit that crashes. I'm hooooooopeful I've cleared out most of the issues already though. Famous last words.

As an update, development has all but finished and the testing process is well under way. I have even enlisted the help of a good ol' EoFFer to help me test! There's still a lot of bugs (and I have also noticed and fixed some in the version I sent them, SORRY IN ADVANCE) but we're really getting there. I am hopeful (not certain) of a release in the next couple of days.

Also I am annoyed because I was so close to going through the whole thing unbeaten and a certain jerkward boss decided to spam Silencega at my mage heavy team 4 times in a row and I had him down to a slither of health and ARGH. :colbert: I am somewhat worried about the difficulty, because I want everyone to experience a Game Over or two or five. But I also don't want it to be Dark Souls difficult either. I'll give strategy tips to anyone who is stuck!

I am happy to confirm I have successfully completed my test run and smashed every single bug I found along the way and then some. That's not to say there won't be any bugs I've missed because I'm mostly a one man band, but there shouldn't be anything game breaking. ...I hope. The final bug was my favourite. There are 5 optional bosses, and if you beat them all you get a secret ending after the credits. Except the game had it the wrong way around - you got the ending if you'd beaten 0-4 of them and if you'd beaten all 5 you'd get nothing! Oops!

Anyway, what does this mean? Well, I'm done! Fynn is composing and tightening a couple of excellent musical numbers for the game, and then when he's done that we're good to go! So when is it coming out?
