We all loved to fish in Final Fantasy XV right? Right? I mean, you didn't delay your playthrough several hours for any other reason right? No? Just me?

Apparently it is not just me! Square Enix announced at the Sony E3 Press Conference that a VR experience unlike any other will be coming September 2018. That's right folks, you all wanted it! (Even if you're not admitting it) We are getting a first person fishing game for Final Fantasy XV!

Whatever happened to that prompto vr thing?

I'll have to look at the trailer later, but I couldn't ever really get into the fishing in this game for whatever reason.

As much as I enjoyed fishing in FFXV... no thank you. I just want Tabata and Squenix to quietly release the rest of the story DLC for this game and then leave it alone.

Is this really what Final Fantasy has turned into?

They're treating this series like a joke. Really sad to see.

I feel that ship sailed awhile back actually.

If I had a VR I would probably get it (I liked the fishing), but I have zero plans to jump into the VR... trend? Has it even reached trend status or is it just kind of sitting stagnant?

I'd say it's a trend, just not as exciting as motion controls a few years back though VR has brought that back as well.

It's also not coming out until September of 2018. Not this year, NEXT year. So they're planning on bleeding XV out for a while.

Ditto. The trends were probably set with X and went into overdrive with XIII. And now this

A lot of ridiculous crap was announced this year, and this is one of the major ones. But I have no real problem with it. Especially if it's on the cheap, which it really should be, but we'll see

One thing it tells me is they're willing to take stupid gambles again now. I'm sure there are far better and more deserving projects to gamble on, but it's something at least

It's so weird to see stuff like this, World War shooters returning, platformers returning, strategy games returning, horror games returning. This generation is some weird renaissance that didn't have to actually have to happen if big publishers would listen to the public and fans rather than pseudo-journalists and focus groups

I absolutely loved the guy in the audience yawning.

Let Tabata make FF Type-Next or Type-1 or whatever it's called. Wrap up FFXV DLC development already...this is getting ridiculous.

I fished like, twice in FFXV. I won't be fishing in VR.

Also, September 2018 seems like a long time to wait to release this. Maybe SE are waiting for the PSVR's install base to increase beforehand.
