I'm not talking about the iOS version, I'm talking about something like the DS remakes of III and IV. Do you think V will ever see some real TLC or do you imagine SE will pass it over for VI-IX instead?

Since it's not one of the most popular in the series I don't think it will. FFVI maybe someday, though.

I'm pretty sure we'll get one eventually, Squenix can only port the original so many times, so I feel they'll give it a graphical remake eventually. I mean let's face it, every game except maybe the MMOs will probably be whored out eventually until either the IP is worthless or the collapse of the video game medium.
