Toy Story and Olympus coming to KH3 - 2018 Release

I'll admit, I haven't really been a Kingdom Hearts fan since 358 Days/2 (isn't that how it's supposed to be read?), but the trailer here cracked the icy exterior of my heart. Helps that Toy Story is one of my favorite films of all time, and the plot here is actually brand new vs being a retread.

Before people tell me that I have a lot of catching up to do, I have a decent understanding of the events of BBS and DDD, and I'm hoping those are the ones I actually need to know. All in due time, I guess

Oh my Christ, this looks gorgeous. I definitely need to get around to buying the 1.5/2.5 HD Remix before this - I've only played the first two games but that was so long ago, I can hardly remember any of the story. If I'm being honest I wasn't planning on going back to this series but after watching this it would be a crime not to.

Can we all stop and appreciate how movie-like this world looks? Certainly if you put this and Toy Story side by side the later would look better, but this is still impressive.

I noticed on my second watch that Sora is wielding a Woody keyblade from the get go. I wonder if this is just a showcase or if the Kingdom Key morphs to reflect the world their in, like their appearances.

Speaking of their appearances, that's the one criticism I have about this. They're ALL action figures. I wish they each had a different style like Sora an action figure, Donald a plushie, etc. Like in Atlantis or Pride Lands.

So, apparently they've made this canon to Toy Story? In an interview with Nomura in Famitsu, he stated that it takes place after Toy Story 2, and is a part of the Toy Story time axis.
