Sonic 3 & Knuckles. In one sitting I can earn over a million and deaths are unlikely. I just have to be careful of that BS clip death in Carnival Night Zone. Also one in Death Egg Zone, but that's rare (however unavoidable, but it's so late in the game it doesn't matter much).

If lock-on is not valid then just Sonic 3. All perfects in the special stages would net me over $350k alone.

Certainly there are games with higher point values, but this is the only score based game that I wouldn't have to worry about lives.

Well mine is Super Mario World on the Gameboy Advance. Here is my reasoning...

- While the SNES control is better, dragon coins appear on EVERY LEVEL on the GBA allowing me to net $15,000 by collecting just four of them.
- You are allowed to play a level twice ONLY if it has more than one exit. Sshhh you. My game, my rules.
- Knocking 7 enemies over with a shell (or an invincibility star) will also net you $15,000.
- Each power up of ANY KIND gives you $1000.

I reckon I could amass over $2M before eventually dying.

I have given this wayyyyyy too much thought.
