The man has said for years IX is his favorite and the closest to his vision of what Final Fantasy is to him.

Man I've been watching his "Ask the Gooch" segments for Mistwalker and have learned that A. the Japanese in general can't answer straightforward questions, cause Sakaguchi can be just as bad as Nomura and Kitase about beating around the bush for some of the simplest questions. B. Sakaguchi would be one of the most fun people to sit down and have a drink with while talking gaming shop. He just seems so personable.

Anyway, even though I consider VI to be the best in the series, I adore IX and it's what best represents Final Fantasy (nope, not VII) I love everything about the game especially the ending, well compared to VI for example...
