I've only played a small amount of FFT: TWOTL so I don't have much to go on for Ramza. Because of this I'm going to have to vote for Squall, even though I'm pretty indifferent about him. Soz, Ramz. Soz.

Dude is in the newer Dissidia game and pretty sure he was in Curtain Call and Tactics in recent years is becoming one of the most popular FF games. Wouldn't call him "Lesser Known ".
