Poland invented bagels, so yes.

i've had someone tell my partner recently, after they found out i was a stripper pole, that it was actually THEIR people that made borsch and not poles which made me lol
i remember watching a documentary on tvp1 or something years ago about how pierogies come from a border region between poland and ukraine and have been a point of contention ever since the 1xxx years
"OURS"
"NO OURS"
I come from the North-Eastern part that's called the Suwałki region (Suvalkiya) and it's interesting because even though its main city (Suwałki, my home town) is in Poland, the larger part of the region is in Lithuania. So we have some regional things that are a point of contention too. Like Lithuanians call Zeppelins the things that we call Kartacze and they eat them with sour cream while we eat them with bacon and we just cannot see eye to eye in that regard.
Also, in general, Polish-Lithuanian relationships are very complicated, especially in places like my home region.

Sorry being as inactive as I am I had completely missed this one.
I went to Olsztyn to spend a little time with my Girlfriend (whose home town it is) because it was easier than trying to see her in the UK at the time.
It was very nice indeed :)
