Sure wish Square Enix have put half as much effort into the actual game instead of all of these ports and side games.

It's not even like FFXV is such an iconic game that it needs all these ports and spin-off minigames. It's the worst reviewed mainline Final Fantasy game since the NES days, and it hasn't had the massive success that previous games like FFVII, IX or X have had.

FFIX was a far more successful game, and it hasn't had nearly as much love or attention from Square Enix as XV. That's a shame.

Square Enix heavily hinted at releasing it on the Switch, though.

Problem is I'm not even interested in whatever monstrosity they end up porting over to it. There's no way the Switch could handle FFXV, hell the PS4 and XO could barely handle it as is.
