Renaming Squall and Rinoa

As a kid playing this game, I spent countless playthroughs giving Rinoa the name of whatever girl I had a crush on at the time I was playing it.

What kind of names did you give your characters and guardian forces?

I wasn't pretty boring with renaming characters in FFVIII. In fact, the only one I ever changed was Squall. I changed it to Danny because I'm hugely egocentric.

i never change the names of characters in games, it just seems weird and wrong, and makes discussion about a games characters needlessly difficult... so yeah, Squall was always Squall and the same for Rinoa and all other characters...

If there's an option to name characters in games I only name the MC after myself, and leave everyone else as is.

I've never changed the names in this game. I did change them in VII all the time just to create funny dialogue when I'd play it with friends.
