What do you prefer ? FFX Rikku or the more silly FFX-2 Rikku ?

X-2 Rikku. She’s more confident and carefree: much like the rest of Spira, she can finally live outside of the shadow of Sin.

Also, her scarf game is on point.

FFX's Rikku. She's really brave, and I like how she's one of the first who absolutely refuses Yuna's sacrifice.

I'm not really a Rikku fan...

X-2 is crap, so I prefer X's Rikku, same goes for Yuna. I just don't like the overly cheery, energetic characters.

You know, I think I like FFX-2 Rikku more because of the implication that she's a TERRIBLE influence to Yuna. It gives them a fun dynamic that I think was really missing from the original X (the only character Yuna really had any chemistry with was Tidus).

I think the overall tone of characterisation in X-2 is much easier to swallow; the presence of Sin in X makes everything extremely melodramatic, and even though that's justified, it's still not conducive to, like, positive (or I guess 'joyful' is more appropriate) emotional responses to the characters.

I actually really enjoy X-2, but prefer the X version of both Yuna and Rikku. I guess it's good that they're carefree and silly after the elimination of Sin, but it makes for less interesting characters IMO
