Coffee Break

Okay, so gen chat is getting way too doom and gloom lately. Everyone needs to stop and have a coffee break, or something. So, what's everyone's preferred method of caffeine? Or, general method of mood lifting/ morning wake up beverage.

I'm a huge fan of royal milk tea, but it takes a lot of effort to make, so in that case, some sort of Ceylon, or in the winter, there's this great spiced apricot that a local place makes.

I drink black coffee in the morning and usually immediately after lunch, then switch to decaf if I want a cup in the afternoon or before bed. Despite the negative press covfefe

Same. Aside of the occasional diet cola/energy drink, I don't do caffeine. Not because I'm against caffeine, but because most caffeinated beverages are just not good to me.

I was a big coffee drinker for many years but strangely developed a paradoxical effect where it started making me very tired. Luckily in recent months some of its mood-boosting properties have returned for me so that's great - I'm drinking it regularly again.

I always wake up thirsty, so I just need liquid first thing in the morning, not caffeine. I usually have juice.

In regards to hot drinks, I'm more of a hot chocolate person.

I drink iced coffee from a carton every morning because our apartment complex and the one across the street have a seriously bad roach problem that won't go away so I can't have small appliances like coffee makers or microwaves because they just become roach nests. But now I have to stop drinking even that because I'm starting to do lipid testing at work and my hands have been too shaky to get the blood samples into the pipes :(

I normally brew some black coffee to take to work and maybe have another later in the day using the K-Cup machine there. At home on my days off I like to have a cup or two of Caffe D'Vita Mocha Cappucchino, which is baffling to me how good it is considering that it's an instant mix.

As far as tea goes I like green for hot and black for cold. A could days ago a friend introduced me to a tea place by her and I tried a jasmine green tea with milk and it was SO good. I thought about it all day after.
