Pokémon Go again

So with the announcement of Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee and me being sucked hard into Ultra Sun, I figured I could get back into Pokémon Go for a while at least. I noticed they have these events now where Pokémon of specific types are more abundant on specific days, and now they’re introducing Alolan forms and I just really wanna go out and catch an Exeggutor because those are hilarious. I’m a bit surprised they’re introducing Alolan forms before Sinnoh Pokémon, but considering Let’s Go is conformed to have Alolan forms, I think it might be kind of a tie-in thing?

So anyway, who’s still playing? Share your experiences!

I was playing up until a few months ago when they stopped supporting my version of the iPhone. It was a shame as I always liked to use it when travelling to new cities for work as I could explore and pay attention to some sights. Where I live though it was becoming increasingly joyless as they removed both my nearest gym and Poke stop without warning or replacement, and it tended to be the same old usual Pokemon.

My wife forgot about the alolan form of exeggcutor and was confused when they started popping up (she was actually playing the moment they were introduced). She just started laughing hysterically because they are pretty ridiculous.

Yeah I got one today. Gotta love how their heads are way too high to be seen from any of the in-game screens.

Yeah, she starts laughing every time she sees one. I haven’t played Pokémon go in quite a while just because I got bored with it, especially since all of the friends that would go walking and play have stopped playing.

I stopped around the time Gen 2 was introduced. Loved the concept of the game but it's such a battery killer and I would rather use my phone for other things. I did recently get back into Record Keeper though...

My son is now a Pokemon Go fanatic. He's always trying to get me to do legendary raids with him. I play a lot too, but mostly just to complete my dex. I'm at 579! Does anyone do battles?

My young daughter loves this game! She's always pestering my wife to use her smart phone to play it. She's a huge fan of Eevee, so she's working hard to get every evolution.

I'm back in the game, god damnit, now with the 5 year anniversary coming up. It's become a lot of fun and I don't feel like I'm miles behind despite having been away for so long. Balloon pikachu here we come!

Yeah, the 5 year event is pretty fun. I have my doubts that I'll be able to catch all the starters but I sure will try!
