Okay so most of you know I have a shitty family and I LOVE
that Yuna's mom told her to seek out her brother if she was ever in need
Even though Cid stopped contacting her, the fact there was such love between them that Yuna's mom never once doubted Cid would help Yuna in a time of trouble (despite the fact he doesn't meet her until she's 17 btw) is amazing. And holy crap, does he deliver. He does not let his departed sister down.
And I just think that's beautiful and something I never fully processed before. He didn't have to do that. Yuna is a stranger to him. He chose not to involve himself after his sister's marriage. But he still had enough love for her, after so many years, to do everything he could to save her daughter.
