Generation 5 is still my favorite. Whereas with X and Y, once the novelty of an all-3D Pokemon game runs out, it really doesn’t offer anything interesting - or anything that wasn’t done better in other games, really.

It was also the first Pokemon game I'd played since childhood, and it holds a good place in my heart.

X/Y, which I'm sure has a lot to do with the fact I was uninterested in Pokemon from the Ruby/Sapphire era all the way until I played X/Y.

I also appreciated mega evolutions and avatar customization beyond gender. Also, giant hobo.

Definitely going to abstain from this one. I've never played any Pokemon game and have zero reason or information that would lead me to prefer one over the other. It would be a completely random guess, so better to just avoid it. Now if it were a vote between a real Pokemon game and Pokemon Go, even though I've played neither, I would still vote because Go is stupid and needs to be voted down.

Sadly missed the vote on this one, but, uh, X and Y are my least favorite entries in the series, so they'd have lost to any other main entry on just that. : p
