Incredibly easy choice for me. Xenogears was one of the games I nominated and a significant part of why I consider the PSX era the strongest era for RPGs. Kingdom Hearts is...well probably the best of the series for me (although I really only bothered with it and KH2 besides briefly starting BBS), but it would struggle to make my list even if we were given 10 nominations. I suspect KH will win this though, because I haven't seen a whole lot of Xenogears love here, and the amount of nominations for the KH series alone are evidence that it's pretty well received here. Then again, the series hasn't won a round yet, so maybe things are better for Xenogears than I think.

While KH is good, I like some of the later entries, such as CoM, Days, BBS and 3D, much better. But evennrhey can’t really match Xenogears for me in terms of how much the game has influenced me.

Voted for Kingdom Hearts. If you are in the correct age group, it's a really good and fun game and you just keep good wonderful memories of it as an adult. That's really powerful.

Easily Xenogears, it's my favorite PS1 RPG and while I like KH and can appreciate that 1 started the whole thing, it is one of my least favorite KH games.

The thing I find funny is how many people went against KH because they like it the least. I mean, the plot of KH is silly, sure, but at least it isn't the Gordian knot of ridiculous BS that it quickly became in later entries.

I had a feeling this one was going to go either way. I'm not surprised Xenogears is winning, but I wouldn't have been surprised if KH1 kicked its ass either cause I know this forum has a soft spot for that particular entry. Maybe if this thread had been done five years ago, it would have soundly beaten Xenogears, but I also suspect we would have had a very different selection of titles as well.

One day I will play through all of Xenogears. I had to go with Kingdom Hearts though. The first KH will probably always be my favorite of the series to play. It has the right amount of difficulty, and it is really charming. I also enjoyed the story a good amount despite the silliness of it all.

I felt like all of the later entries (except maybe Chain of Memories) were too easy for the most part. They are all still addicting to play though.
