View Full Version : Favorite Pokémon of each type?
So I’ve been on a bit of a Pokémon kick lately. Combine that with the fact that Let’s Go just got released, and I thought it might be a good time to do this! So what are your favorite Pokémon of each type? You can only pick one per type. If a Pokémon has two types, you can only use it for one of them. You can use however many Pokémon from one evolutionary family you want.
Go! I’ll post my own picks at a later time.

Interesting things I noticed:
Ghost was the only one I knew without opening a type list
I'm a dirty Gen 1er
Cute > Power when there was a tie
Poison was the hardest pick
Yeah for some reason Poison is a tough pick.
Also, grass was super hard for me but for a reason opposite to Vermachtnis - I never realized until now that I’m just really not a fan of grass types. If I were to pick a least favorite type, that would definitely be in. So thank God for the hilarity that is Alolan Exeggutor.

I don't remember most post-gen 1 pokemon besides starters (by virtue of it being the first and the one i played the most by far, probably) so i skimmed the pokemon database and just picked from there :p
Grass: Chikorita
Fire: Fennekin
Water: Primarina
Normal: Mega Pidgeot
Fighting: Shiny Pheromosa
Flying: Oricorio
Poison: Roserade
Electric: Shiny Pichu
Ground: Mega Steelix
Psychic: Shiny Dawn Wings Necrozma
Rock: Mega Diancie
Ice: Shiny Alolan Ninetales
Bug: Shiny Vivillon (meadow/elegant/tundra patterns)
Dragon: Shiny Mega Rayquaza
Ghost: Shiny Lunala
Dark: Shiny Mega Absol
Steel: Solgaleo
Fairy: Sylveon
Dragon and fairy were probably hardest to pick, for opposite reasons. Too many to pick from fairy, not enough to pick from dragon.
Also I'm guessing Fynn accidentally put down Espeon for fairy and actually meant Sylveon :p
I did, thanks for pointing that out! :p
Also, your list is pretty diverse for someone mostly familiar with Gen 1! You also made me remember how much of a soft spot I have for Vivillon. We once had a random egg hatching tournament and I got one (modern pattern) with Compound Eyes. It was surprisingly a beast in combat.
