Female Viera have been showcased but we've seen male Viera concept art and Yoshi P wants to hold off talking more about that until the Shadowbringers Toyko event in March.

Meh. I was never a massive fan of the race after they decided to go full bondage model with them. But then I'm more of a reptile fan when it comes to animal-based races so I'm a bit biased there. At least there will be more variety one way or another. Have they shown off any males yet? EDIT: I should read better. :D

For those who don't play and want to know why this is a "bad" thing--

It's not bad, exactly. The main complaint is that it's just another human cosplaying as an animal. Meanwhile, we have no bestial races, or non "pretty" races; every race in the game is homogeneous.

Frankly, the fact they actually added rabbit features to their face is astounding, but their faces look very different from all of the art in FFXIV (as they ripped the models from XII), and they just look fucking garbage. That said, it's all much more high def than any of the current character models, which means they're either going to look very out of place, or they're going to have to update old models (which isn't a super great option really--look what happened in WoW).

The only good thing about this is the hairstyles, but likely they'll be race locked, because fuck you to any other races in the game who'd like long hair options.

This has been a hot take from someone has over 6000+ hours in this game. o7

There's something about the faces I don't like though. It's like skirting right on Uncanny Valley.

I'm going to stick with my Elezen/Highlander. I want that over the shoulder hair the one on the right has. But like Jinx said, it's probably Bunny only.

This was what I always wanted. The females to be a cross between roe and elezen women with bunny features, and the males to be built similar to a female au ra. So it wouldn't be a ooh moe anime bunny girl, but a mature rabbit woman. That's the only way it was ever going to be redeemable to me, and so far they've slightly missed the mark, but not nearly as bad as it could have gone.

I wasn't very interested in viera. its whatever though, if someone likes it thats cool i have my race and job already. i just dont have my perfect Savage raid yet. the one thats nearly midas level difficulty to help bridge the gap of svage and ultimate.
