Dude. The salt over no male Viera, and the salt over Dancer being a DPS is LEGENDARY. It's warming my shitposting heart.

People are so mad. I'm expecting that hammer class to be the next healer. Either Geomancer or Oracle.

The gender locked races is a little boring, but I wasn't going to switch anyway.

Yup, and they're even called that on the first shard where the next expansion is taking place.

And speaking of which, Lalafels are dwarves there and a beast tribe. Which I find hilarious.

I'm sure if the community throws enough of a fit we'll get both male Viera and female Hrothgar. Tbh FFXIV has such a fucking childish community that harasses the devs until they give in to their whims. I don't think for a second we won't get either. The more I see Viera, though, the more I'm digging it. As a compulsive race changer, I'll probably be going Viera at launch.

That said, Rem, the second they announced Dancer as a DPS I figured they had some other healer they're revealing. I honestly do not believe we're not getting a new healer, and they're saving it for a nice surprise later.

Are we allowed to compare the JP fanfest to Blizzcon yet? The salt over this has been pretty epic. I think that eventually they'll add the other gender in, but it'll probably be pretty far down the line. Especially since they haven't even been able to make helmets work yet with what they've announced. Honestly, I'm more sad about the lack of female Hrothgar. That would have been really neat. Better than Viera, easily.

Did anyone notice how people started leaving the LL in droves after they started talking about the movie? Even Koji Fox and the other translator were confused what was going on.
