Characters confirmed to have died during the end of the world?

Beside Shadow and maybe Banon and Arvis, are there any other named npcs who’ve disappeared after the End of the world?

How about unnamed NPCs? I'm sure there are some. Especially in the town Terra takes up residence in, but for all FF6 fans boasts about how Kefka is such a great villain because he "succeeded" in destroying the world (stupid reason and there are way better reasons to like Kefka), there doesn't seem to be a lot destroyed other than pleasant looking color schemes.

Heck even people who were supposedly dead before the end of the world turn up alive.

Agreed that Kefka is great for completely different reasons and that reason is stupid poo poo garbage

For named NPCs, I'd point out that the ten moogles are all likely dead in the Ruined World seeing how Mog is found alone. The only significant unnamed NPC are mainly the citizens of Mobliz including the wounded soldier who sends letters to his girlfriend being the most significant. Also the entire town of Narshe is vacant as well with the exception of one lone man who already looks to be on his death bed.
