Oh the memories!!!!!

Oh the memories. Since this forum has been around for twenty+ years now some of us have naturally gone through several different usernames. Not for any disingenuous reasons but just for the fact that some times (as for me for instance) have gone through very long stretches without posting and when you feel like posting again eventually you can't remember what email address or password you used for that particular profile so you just have to create a new one.


Well I came to this site the other day and began to think about my history in posting here and I was actually able to remember my very first username I had here (at least I think it was my first one) so I tracked it down on the memberlist and was able to find my old posts from way, way, way back in the day. I registered that username in '01 but my posts only go back to '03. I'm thinking there may have been a server change that caused my posts from the first couple years to get lost. Though fun it can also be a little embarrassing to read some of the stuff you wrote almost twenty years ago, lol.

Anyways have you guys been able to maintain a single username throughout your entire duration on this forum? If not can you remember some of your old usernames so you can go back and read some of the ancient stuff you talked about from back in the day?

Oh hey there tony! I found your account that started in 2012 but not an older one yet ha. Personally, I've only had two names here but I didn't make new accounts for them. That's kind of a no-no, as the admins can just name change you.

Also, this thread would be more suited to GC than the lounge so I went ahead and moved it :)

Lol, hey that very well may happen. I don't really play video games anymore (may get Fallen Order in November simply because I'm a big Star Wars fan) and my playstation pretty much just collects dust these days. Only reason I got a ps4 was because I'm a big Walking Dead fan as well and the TellTale series was moving over to ps4. Really enjoyed the story of Last of Us but will probably just watch a youtube playthrough of the second game just like I did the first.

Was really into gaming in about the '99-'04 time period but my interest in it definitely fell off after that. To the point now where I can easily go six months to a year without even thinking about looking at gaming forums.

Yeah mods probably wouldn't be able to connect me to that one because I would have made it when I was living at a different place so the IP address would be different. I was living at my current location in 2012 so the IP address would be the same.

I've had a bunch of names over the years. Bert, escobert and TrowaBartonIV were the ones I used the most though.

One time the admins changed my name to Super Delete as a joke, even though he and I are nothing alike and are in no way related.

I originally registered as a super secret embarrassing name but got an admin to change it a few days later to The Undead Hero. That account was deleted in the same server wipe you mentioned, but I eventually reregistered as this name. Some of the posts from it survived in the archives so I had it merged with this account. I'm getting pretty close to being a member here for half my lifetime now :)
