Suggestions and recommendations please

I'mm thinking of replaying Final Fantasy 7 and I wanted to do a full playthrough this time, trying to get every item/enemy skill etc etc. I found two walkthroughs for the game and I am curious if anyone here has used either and which they'd recommend:

There's a youtube channel called 4-8productions that LOVES him some FF7. He might have made a video with his thoughts on good play through guides/advice. (https://www.youtube.com/user/death7unites7us)

I haven't played the game all the way through in years, but I'd think almost any solid guide has everything you'd need to know. A lot of it might depend on what platform/version of the game you're playing too.

Just be careful there are lots of missable items.

The one one that I missed on my first attempt was the Earth Mallet. You can only get it from the Gigas enemy at the entrance to the Whirlwind Maze. You can’t steal it and it only has like a 14% drop rate. Just hang around the crater entrance fighting them till they drop one. This bit...
