Hard to believe it's been that long, but Yasumi Matsuno's genre defying title debuted 20 years ago today. Much like Xenogears before it, it looks like Squenix is going to celebrate with some new Play Art figures of Ashley and Sidney.

What are your thoughts on this quirky title?

This game had a lot going for it. Love that crafting system and targeting specific points on an enemy.

Definitely one of the most unique gaming experiences I’ve ever had. I still love just how incredibly bold its story was in many respects.

I originally started this game but never finished. I was intrigued by the story at the time but never could get through the gameplay (that was about the time that I was starting to have it up to here with gameplay mechanics). In the past year or two I tried watching a playthrough of the game on youtube but text based playthrough videos aren't much fun (plus the story is a little out of date by todays gaming standards of storytelling).
