Bought 2 candies when I went to the store this morning. Decided to check it out.

So the deal is you get one of the items with every 2 candies bought. So if you want all 5 things you need to buy 10 bars. Not sure yet if the dynamic theme comes with the first one or not.

Could take up to 5 days for receipt approval.

Yeah, I think the smaller summons are not meant for boss battles, at least not past the point when you've got Ifrit.

Update on the full process:

So it takes 3 to 5 days for them to check your receipt. If it gets accepted, they send you the Tifa dynamic theme right away , and then take an additional 3 to 5 days to send your in-game DLC code.

I got the Midgar bangle, it had 1 materia slot and pretty weak stats. Don't know if it would have been better at the beginning of the game but I was near the end by the time I got it. Cool gimmick, but i'll opt out of buying more candy for the other items.
