Kind of a close cousin to the "which character do you feel has most improved" thread.

Which environmental expansion did you enjoy the most?

I really liked the train graveyard. I already like exploring abandoned and decrepit places in games, such as the Shinra building in Dirge of Cerberus, so I was really excited to get a fresh take on a familiar place.

I really like the glowing ghost messages, and the story behind it especially as a nice contrast to the gloomy area surrounding them.

Still being able to steal a staff for Aerith from that carriage horse thing is a nice callback, as well.

It's too bad we didn't have to steal Hardedge from 3-C SOLDIER, but I guess they realized that never made logical sense.

Anyway, I actually really enjoyed Hojo's lab. It's construction was a little convoluted but it definitely felt more real than the awkward setup he had in the original. I also thought the subterranean lab worked well too.

above the plate is what i wanted, and above the plate is what i got.

i like the modern feel of the shinra building. the hojo labs felt a little out of place in that environment, but i give it a pass.

I really enjoy how they expanded every place, but I would say the Train Graveyard and Shinra Building.

I didn't feel like we got enough of this. No real above plate exploration. It was always pretty much on rails when on the plate.

I agree about the train graveyard. I liked that. Also enjoyed the sector 5 reactor expansion. Sabotaging the boss had a Selphie in the missile base kind of vibe. Hard to pick a favorite. I just generally liked anywhere they fleshed things out minus the spectres.

I feel much the same way, but it was nice to at least see a suburb above the plate, and so on. It was never particularly clear in the original - there were vague references to some kind of middle class above the plate, but it was never really explicitly shown (to my recollection)
