I have no idea what the plot of one of these is and the other one doesn't have much plot, so I can't really answer.

Haven’t played Ao no Kiseki, but I have played SMTIV and greatly enjoyed its story. I could likely have voted for it even if I had played the other game

Doubt I have to even say which one I voted for :p

Granted SMT IV had more going for it in the story department than most SMT games, and I enjoyed it, but I don't really think SMT stories are up there with the greats. I mostly play them for the great gameplay, demon collectin' and the banger soundtrack.

As for Ao no Kiseki, in terms of story it's one of the top entries in what is possibly my favorite series story-wise. Pacing, tension, reveals, emotional rollercoasters, great climax, game had it all for me.
