Not sure. FFV only has Faris, but I don't know anything about Ys VII cast. If I reduced it to Faris vs. Adol though, Faris wins.

The Ys Secen cast is aight. Nothing groundbreaking, but it gets the job done. FFV’s cast is family though

Gonna go with Ys Seven here, admittedly just barely. Not that I think its cast is great, I think it's pretty okay. I'm just a heathen who also thinks the FFV cast is pretty okay. ;)

Hey, I actually do feel they're pretty equal in this regard (though Ys Seven would easily win out in every other regard), I just figured I'd at least somewhat negate people blindly voting FFV without knowing anything about Ys Seven's cast ;)

Tbf it was relatively close for me too. FFV has a lovable bunch, especially the guys. But ultimately I gave it to Ys Seven for having the far superior princess character, Dogi (and I mean, come on, it's Dogi), and actual human antagonists that fit beautifully with the Altago side cast and themes. Mind you I do love hammy ham Exdeath a lot.
