Let talk about how it's just the best

I prefer making mine with milk vs water. Some like it with water.

I've only recently started adding whipped cream and it has changed my life.

Hate it. I love chocolate, but I hate cocoa. I wish I didn't, I am sad that I am like this. But I am. :(

I used to drink a lot of it but then I became a grownup and now I drink coffee. :wcanoe:

Some of us aren't allowed much caffeine at the moment so HOT COCOA IT IS

(I have an issue with the polyphenols in tea sadly so it's the only warm drink I can have anymore :( )

Chocolate has caffeine though? Guess it's low enough in hot cocoa.

That is an offensive thing to say and I am offended.

Well, it's December 6, but I can finally tick off that New Years' resolution to offend Amanda.

For 2020 or already on 2021? Because I have a list prepared.

I tried a York Peppermint Patty hot chocolate just the other day and I'm pleased to report it is legit.

I miss the festive hot chocolates from Costa.

The Terry's Chocolate Orange, and Black Forest Gateau ones, were proper lush.

I got some Hungarian hot cocoa in a gift basket. Only a little surprised it doesn't have paprika in it. :p

Will enjoy tonight

So my nieces and nephews still get me to make them milkshakes and hot chocolates whenever I am over because apparently, according to their expert opinions no one makes them quite as good as Steve.

Personally, I don't think I do anything that special and certainly 3 of the girls are old enough to have learnt what I do to make a hot chocolate by now.

But I tend to mix the powder with some milk in to a fairly thick paste. I then froth some warm milk and after topping up half the mug with hot water use the frothed milk gently stirred in to the rest of it. Add Marshmallows/Whipped Cream/grated dark chocolate (use the fine side of the grater) or for a christmas theme, go whole hog with whipped cream topped with shaved/grated chocolate and a peppermint candy cane.

I used to do the same with the sachets of cappucino you get but since both my sister and I now have Nespresso machines available to us in our kitchens I don't do these anymore unless I'm working in a place where there is no espresso machine.
