It's time for another one of these. Positivity time.

One thing I'm thankful to the site for is when Pumpkin and I won tickets to Distant Memories. We had a great time. Thanks EOFF.

I'm thankful for the lovely wedding photos I have thanks to Del Murder's wife (but not kids, although they are almost unfairly cute). I also have one of the photos from their wedding on my desk right now. So that's nice.

Uhh... Oh, that trip in LA was nice. Packing my sewing machine to try and finish my Halloween costume in my hotel room was a bit awkward, but I have photos from that event on my wall.

And, y'know, there are a lot of people here who don't suck.

I'm thankful for EoFF because it introduced me to some wonderful people. It also has been here for me at the hardest moments in my life.

If it weren't for EoFF, I might have stayed in NZ and lived a happy normal life, started a family and become very rich.

I mean, probably not, but it's possible. Goddam it, EoFF!

It legitimately triggers me seeing it as EOFF instead of EoFF.

It just gave me something else I'm thankful for. What a great place.

Oh man, I just saw this and thought that was me too. I was equally proud and sad.

Anyway, more the IRC/Discord side of things than the forum, but I've met friends here, and many days EoFF is basically my only form of social interaction, staving off my crippling loneliness just a bit.

So, thanks, EoFF.

I think I can credit this community with broadening my horizons and providing a support network throughout my younger years, which had a huge positive impact on my life. I've made my mistakes along the way but it's overall turned out positive. I'm not sure what my life trajectory would have been otherwise, but I think I would have been way more "stuck," depressed and isolated, if it weren't for the people here.

Oh trout. I just realised I'm now more EoFF than not-EoFF.

I've somehow become 30 years old, and I very first joined here as godzilla3001 when I was.... 13 or 14? Then Pure Quin14 swept in Oct 2005, just prior to my 15th birthday.

oh hey how crazy were naming conventions in the early-mid 2000s, eh?

edit: Bloody hell, my contact is a googlemail email. O_O

Got some FF help (hey, we all came here for that at some point, right?)
Made some friends
Subsequently fell out of touch with all those friends because I got old and tried adulting or something
Realised this place still existed and basically feels the same as it ever did, just a lot quieter.

I'm just happy to see old sites like this still alive and kicking. I'm surprised I never created an account here sooner as I've known about this site for 2 decades.

Thanks EoFF for being there when I was a lonely teen of 14-ish who just wanted to talk about Final Fantasy and for being here now as someone over twice that age who isn't as lonely but still wants to talk about Final Fantasy.

I turn up every six years or so and it's honestly like coming home - I love seeing names I recognize from ~back in the day~ even if I never got to know the person.

So thanks for being a constant and stable presence in my life, EoFF!

70% of my friend group is EoFF related. I doubt I'd have managed as I have without their constant presence in my life

Blows my mind this place is still around. Thanks for helping me through my awkward teenage years, I honestly think hanging out here all the time in the past helped me out a lot. You're all great people.
