Uematsu is composing for Mistwalker's new game Fantasian

I know many of you couldn't care less about Apple Arcade or Mistwalker, but I'm happy to see and hear that Nobuo Uematus seems to have recovered enough from his health scare a while back to compose for Mistwalker's new games Fantasian. What's super cool is that they've been uploading some behind the scenes stuff.

According to a recent interview (https://www.videogameschronicle.com/features/hironobu-sakaguchi-interview-im-aging-so-i-made-a-game-that-returns-to-my-roots/), Fantasian might be the last full soundtrack Uematsu composes. He will likely still compose music, but mostly just a track or song here and there. Likewise, Sakaguchi has said there is a possibility this will be his final game as well. :cry:

It's cool to see those guys still making games, but I never found the Mistwalker games that interesting.

This just downloaded on my phone. Looked at it for a few minutes and it seems pretty cool. Don’t know about the music yet though. I’m wanting to try it out with a controller since it would be more fun that way probably.

You'll have to tell us how it is. I've heard in interviews that Sakaguchi was inspired by reminiscing on FFVI for this game's creation.

Played the opening area. The Diorama feature I think may work better for touch screen, but I definitely enjoy it on controller. The rest rating just feels a bit weird. Feels a bit like a ps1 rpg but prettier. No voice acting. Music in that first area feels very much like FFVII. I’ll let you know whenever I play more of it, but I like it so far and hope it comes to console.
