Hey, the forum seems to be down a lot lately. Are we getting close to shuttering it? It just seems I can only log on like once every few weeks because Firefox is having issues loading the site.

Yes, the CPU seems to get overloaded then goes down. I’d love to have it more stable. Trying to figure it out.

Well, thanks for working on it.

If it's okay for me to post here, it was happening to me too. It just wouldn't load (it would say it was taking to long to upload, so it wouldn't.)
I was actually starting to wonder if the site was gone - it was starting to feel like how it did when the Gold Saucer closed in my first play through of Final Fantasy VII (this feels like when it re-opened.^^;)
In all seriousness, I hope the site is working now - I know I don't always post (I don't always know what to say, and when I do I procrastinate it) but I like visiting here, and the front site.

Did we move to hosting this in-house? Like, literally, is the server in your house right now? If so that's awesome and crazy and if that's the future we have for however long, I'm for sure willing to deal with the hiccups

Haha, no, the server is not in my house. We have a host. It is just that I did not set this site up, just inherited it. And I am not very technical.
The good news is that I get an alert when the CPU overloads and it is pretty quick to restart the server. I also got some advice from the host and there is definitely some process that is running and downward spiraling the site to crash. I am looking at the logs to see what it could be. There are a lot of automated processes that we really don’t need for a site this small.

Let me know if you need any kind of hand, Murd, always happy to do what I can, and to nag others as required. ;)

Thanks BoB. Seems to be going fine after I scaled down some of the scheduled tasks. I can't believe we scheduled an email batch run for every 10 minutes.

It was just really important we didn't miss anyone's birthday email.
I still get mine every year and it's always a joy.
