I'm gona make a new website and I need a good provider. After dealing with horrid providers like geocites I realize how much I need a reliable provider. Anyone know any good ones with little or no ads and decent space?

Well, you could do what I did and accidentally mention in front of Russell that you have no webspace and mysteriously get 50mb on GSN...

I'm also on Angelfire (who downsized my account the gits!) and DK3 which always seem to be fairly good for me despite angel's protestations...

I've found Tripod to be pretty reliable, until they downsized to 20mb. :( They offer a choice of ugly banners or annoying popups. It's hard to beat that and still get reliability.

Angelfire seems to be pretty much the same as Tripod.

I now run my Invisionboard at http://www.coolfreepages.com/ which gives 50mb & PHP4 and has worked well for me so far. It has big popups though.

I'm getting hosting with http://itricks.net for my site. Well, my new one. It seems to be a pretty good deal - I'll tell you if they screw me over or something. ;)

http://fateback.com is free, has 60 MB, and no ads of any kind. You can also make multiple sites on the same account. The only downsides I've noticed are that you can't upload files bigger than 200 KB or remotely link images. (About the latter point, I'm not sure if the .txt trick works or not. I've never tried it there.) If you just want it for a site, it's great.
