<font color=38bcee><font size=2>I never received an answer to either of these questions the last time I posted them, and because the thread I posted them degenerated into a mass-hysteria spamfest, I'm posting them again, hopefully to receive definite answers this time. *glare*

<ol type=1><li>Perhaps I'm dumb, but I can't see the "Preview Message" button in the Private Message window.<li>It looks like the "Last Post" is back and functional again (correct me if I'm wrong about this), so would it be possible to prune old members with no posts now? There are quite a large number of members who have no posts and high-demand names like Rand al'Thor (as opposed to the still-active Rand Al'Tor, who probably took the misspelling because the correct spelling wasn't available), Raine, and Ramza, to name a few. I know how upsetting it is to try to register a name only to find out someone else already has it.<li>Oh, and if someone could fix all the style sheet stuff so that "10px" is changed to "xx-small" and "12px" is changed to "x-small," that'll make things look a bit more tidy around here, I think, 'cuz things like this list would ACTUALLY RESIZE. :mad2:</ol>Answer these questions this time plz. kthx

1- There is no preview post button for PM's. Not let at least. Expect it soon.

2- I prune members monthly. Just sit back and relax.

3- I don't see a problem, so I'm not gonna fix it. Another Admin can if he/she deems it so.

<font color=38bcee>Thanks for the no-nonsense answers, Scottie. :D

Still, as for #2, there are <font color=38e897 :bou::bou::bou::bou::bou::bou::bou:over="this.color='7eb7ed';" :bou::bou::bou::bou::bou::bou::bou:out="this.color='38e897';">some</font> (http://www.eyesonff.com/forums/member.php?action=getinfo&userid=209) <font color=38e897 :bou::bou::bou::bou::bou::bou::bou:over="this.color='7eb7ed';" :bou::bou::bou::bou::bou::bou::bou:out="this.color='38e897';">postless</font> (http://www.eyesonff.com/forums/member.php?action=getinfo&userid=371) <font color=38e897 :bou::bou::bou::bou::bou::bou::bou:over="this.color='7eb7ed';" :bou::bou::bou::bou::bou::bou::bou:out="this.color='38e897';">members</font> (http://www.eyesonff.com/forums/member.php?action=getinfo&userid=2915) who registered over a year ago, I think. :o

#3 just bugs me, but then, I'm easily bugged. *shruggle*

In the future, maybe it would help not to close Feedback threads before their questions are answered. ;)

1. Ditto Scottie.
2. Ditto Scottie.
3. *also deems it not a problem* Aka, Ditto Scottie.

For me, no answer usually means "don't worry about it please".

(I was actually chatting to him at the moment he de-adminned himself :aimwink:).

I'd like this avatar
<img src="http://bando.smallcave.net/uploads/av-3.gif">
but somehow I doubt I'll be able to get it :aimdumb:

Or else I'd like my multicoloured rabite to take the same space as the ones in my sig, like
<img src="http://mywebpages.comcast.net/ajf83/hsl3-technicolourrabite.gif">
but that's over EoFF's avatar file size. :aimmad:

Oh well.

And on my computer, Raine's avatar is broken and claims to be 28 x 30 pixels.

Later

I've made a revision of EoFF's style sheet, which took me about two minutes to do. Feel free to do whatever you want with it. Installing it could be nice.

Optimising am kew :D I sugest you get a better image editor, manny :p Try opening that gif in your normal gif editor and resave it elsewhere without editing, and see what happens to the filesize, just out of curiosity :p

Who's got an avatar over 60x60? If we wanted to allow larger avatars, we would. It would take 2 seconds. There's a REASON it's set at 60x60. Well, more than one. The most significant one being so that we don't get letterbombed by 56k users.

If someone's finessing the restriction, I'll remove their avatar, it's that simple.

Is the style sheet going to remain as is, then, or will someone change it to what I posted? I'm 99% sure that there won't be any problems if you change it...

I support sticking with Sean's design.

I used Macromedia Fireworks. Every time I've done image optimizing, this program has always managed to produce the smallest file sizes for me, especially for animated GIFs :p

The Man

<font color=38bcee>Weeell, mine looks almost exactly like Sean's design, since most tables have &lt;font size=2&gt; tags in them and my CSS would have the exact same effect of those tags without the nasty side effect of having unformatted table text look like </font></font>this<font size=2><font color=38bcee> and ABSOLUTELY REFUSE TO RESIZE, but okay.

And crono_logical: Is that a commercial piece of software, or is it shareware? If I can download it (legally), I'd appreciate it if you'd point me to a link.

Man, how much have you already got that you've asked for? A fair amount. I think you need to realise that if you go to a board, you fit into it, it doesn't fit into you. This is Eyes on Final Fantasy, and I don't think there is anything that's broken about it, so I don't think we should fix it.

You seem to be the only person who notices this stuff, and everyone has always loved the way Eyes on Final Fantasy has been, because we made it good - everyone did.

If you really do want to have a different style, you could always start your own board.

[/rant]

I just think you should appreciate your surroundings. I don't complain when the trees outside aren't evenly spaced.

EDIT: Not a personal attack, but I hope it will help you notice that what we have is good. I think you analyse things too much... sometimes in life it's nice to just sit back and realise how wonderful things really are, and just be content with them.

Fireworks is comercial, but they have demo versions readily available (and I'm sure keygens as well :p ) I actually got a legit key for mine though, for once :)

Ulead GIF Animator 5 is also a nice little GIF editting program(that's how I got Link centered and got him walking faster than normal:D). It's very easy to use. Sadly I don't have Fireworks.:cry:

I personally don't see anything wrong with the way the boards are currently set up. And larger avatars? You should consider yourself lucky that you have avatars, I've seen message boards 3 times the size of this one where you can't have an avatar, let alone your own signature.

I think No.2 would be a good idea, the old 'cloud' was a terrible poster... pretty much like the new 'Cloud' =/

<font color=22E477>Yeah this isn't that much of an efficient post and Man, you probably didn't even want this, but here is that rabite image down to 60x60 pixels, but my guess is you only like it big.
