What the name implies... What is your favorite FF1 party? I hope this wasn't made somewhere else but I was just thinking about it.

If I had to choose at the moment I'd probably say F/T/WM/BM mainly because where I am in the game I'm beginning to wish my Red Wizard was either a Knight or a White Wizard. A little of both doesn't seem to be cutting it anymore.

FI/BB/RM/WM - one of the easiest parties in the game.

F/Th/WM/BM. Or F/anything but BB/WM/BM. Those are usually most fun for me.

Best party, ever. Well, in close second is F/RM, revive dead Thief and Master after class change :)

I've come to enjoy tinkering with fighterless parties lately. They give the game a small air of both challenge and variety.

Thus far, I like my RM/RM/WM/BM party best. It way be really, really money-intensive, but all that magic makes it a real blast to play.

My favourite has to be Fi/Fi/Rm/Bm. Plenty of attack power, defence and black magic. Fi/Rm/Wm/Bm is good too.

Anything but the default NES party is just uncivilized  . Magic is severely stunted in FF1 - only 9 uses of each spell level at best. You might bring a black mage with you, and think you'll always have a response for those large groups of enemies. Element 2 and 3 spells are pretty powerful. If you only face a few large groups of enemies, you'll have a powerhouse. That's not usually the case. You'll face many large groups of enemies, and then are faced with a decision- save spells for the boss, and peck at the enemies with your knife for 2 damage, or use all your spells before the boss, and peck at it for 2 damage. Either way, for an important portion of the adventure, your mage is wasted. Surely you didn't bring the mage along solely for level raising near towns? That's all it's good for.

I don't even bother with magic. If I had enough castings to make it worthwhile, maybe I'd bring a specialist mage, but that's not the case. Instead, I take one of each powerhouse. As far as spells go, the Red Mage can cast enough spells in a pinch, since I don't have to rely on his spells as a sole form of attack in every battle. Both the Knight and Ninja get some low level magic as well.

Knight, Ninja, Master, Red Wizard is the only team for me.

Warrior/Red Mage/Monk/White Mage

Plenty of offensive power with just a small enhancement of magic for some extra spunk, yo.

RM, Thief, BB and BM is my current party.

I think I'd be better off with WM instead of BM, but I do so love his hat.

I go with two red mages to stand and take punishment in the front and two black belts in the back to deal punishment. Yeah, yeah, yeah... Red Wizards can't learn the big spells... I just use them to Fast My Masters... they do all my bidding. Muahahahahaha... after all Masters are THE strongest character. They are just pimp. all who don't like.... are jealous that their precious Knight can't do what my Master can evn though his knight has a masamune and my master has cheap, generic armor. Haters......lol

P.S.:Master is my fav. character.

I'm partial to the Fighter, White Mage, Black Mage and Red Mage. Magic comes in handy, and the Red Mage is a pretty decent physical fighter too.

Like, Unne says its a question of what makes this or that party you're favorite. And i didn't realize that until right now...

So I definately like to crush things, but not neccisarily with BB's. So I'll go with...

F/F/WM/BM

eh, I'm working on one of those right now...so tedious

I think my fav party would be F/RM/WM/BM

plenty of magic, plenty of physical power and def up front. It may cost a lot, but I think its worth it.

My party was the default F/T/WM/BM, but my favorite would have to be F/F/RM/WM

that's weird, i thought the default party was F/T/BB/RM

Mystik_Ninja

That is the default party for the NES. But on WonderSwanColor and PlayStation the default party is F/T/WM/BM. A much better choice of a default party if I may say so!

My favorite party for now is:

Fighter
Red Mage
White Mage
Black Mage

I call them:

Fighter: Neo (From the Matrix)
Red Mage: Perry (My own name)
White Mage: Gisela (Just for fun)
Black Mage: Fisico (Nickname of Giancarlo Fisichella, F1-driver)

I chose this party, because of the great magic and phsycial power.

ooo, if we're gonna name them, mine is

RM: Cid (cmon, you gotta have a Cid in there)
RM: Reis (reference to Reis from later on... and it's my healer too)
BB/MK: Odin (Odin... just so cool, gotta have one)
BB/MK: Flair (named from the monk's skill from other games)
