Can't remember. It's been pruned, nowhere to be found.

And now I understand why my post sometimes start randomly with a skyblue colour-tag.

*changes sorting-date*

Well goddamit.

Hm... January 2002?

Is it time? :D

Citizen Bleys
01-29-2003, 07:14 PM
Aye, 'tis time.

It's usually started in December--at least that's when Mindfart came up with the original idea.

Nait
01-29-2003, 07:18 PM
That is true, but there have been so many other things, and we've just forgotten.

BoB sez we should wait until the Thriathlon is over, though. We listen to BoB.

EDIT:

I dun wanna do it this year, let.. Umm... Someone ELSE do it! >=O

I want to lead my Newbie Party to VICTORY!

Citizen Bleys
01-29-2003, 07:24 PM
Alright, I'll put up an announcement.

Loony BoB
01-29-2003, 07:26 PM
I'm gonna have a party, man. And this time I'll at least pretend to do something. Yup.

Nait
01-29-2003, 07:26 PM
Let'em use the Election Booth. =) Remember, Election Booth means Election! And Booth!

Loony BoB
01-29-2003, 07:29 PM
Truely, you are the master of definitions.

Citizen Bleys
01-29-2003, 07:40 PM
I might run, if I see a party that I like.

bennator
01-29-2003, 10:38 PM
I wouldn't mind doing it... I happen to have about 0 credentials except an obsession with politics, and a willingness to make it work.

Angered Roach
01-30-2003, 12:02 AM
I'll do it, even if noone knows me, and I, like Bennator0, have no credentials. But, hey, why not. I apply.

The Amazing Spiderman
01-30-2003, 12:11 AM
I can do it, but I ain't that popular here, tho'. =(

Citizen Bleys
01-30-2003, 12:15 AM
Sure you are, Spidey.

Alright, since bennator applied first, I'm for appointing him election officer.

I'd like to get that ratified by another Staff member, though, 'cause I might run (although I don't know for what party), and I'd hate to be accused of trying to swing the vote by selecting an election officer that might be sympathetic to me. (Fact is though, I'm not smart enough to know who to pick, not knowing what party I'll run in, if I run, or even what parties there'll be)

EDIT:

Citizen Bleys: Oh, btw, we have an election officer, possibly.
DanieLoony: neat
Citizen Bleys: We got 3 applicants, and I said we should go for bennator0, since he applied first, but I want to have that ratified by another staff member.
Citizen Bleys: Such as you.
Citizen Bleys: (hint hint)
Citizen Bleys: Unless you object, in which case you can raise a fuss and we can pretend to hate each other :p
DanieLoony: who else?
Citizen Bleys: Angered Roach and The Amazing Spiderman.
Citizen Bleys: Nobody really well known.
DanieLoony: bennator0.
DanieLoony: but wait a while
Citizen Bleys: ok.
DanieLoony: We have time, coz of the Triathlon
Citizen Bleys: Yeah, I guess.
DanieLoony: and the announcement has been up less than half a day ;-)
DanieLoony: ...let alone a quarter

So, in short, we'll still accept nominations until the Triathalon is over, just in case we get someone the Staff knows better or something. *shrug*

I object. I'm sick of your backhanded political tactics, Bleys. I won't stand for it.

Kami
01-30-2003, 02:01 AM
so how do you apply for this?

Red Wizard
01-30-2003, 03:28 AM
Bleh, now I feel the need to push the EoFF Triathlon through completion so I'm not stalling the election. *sigh*

Raistlin
01-30-2003, 03:34 AM
I'd apply, but I really don't care. :P

I might just join every party and then, through bribes and some key assasinations, suddenly become the leader of ALL the parties, and then rule the world!!!...or at least EoFF.

Meh.

CloudDragon

I missed the last one, hmm, might be interesting...

Shiroi Kumo

I hereby volunteer for the Elections Officer position.

Cheers.

Nait's reformed Noob Party scares me.

Citizen Bleys

Okay, the current purpose of this thread is for people to apply for the position of Election Officer.

Will the Knights please delete any further posts relating to individual parties? I will be doing so.

(Yeah, I know, I started it, but we have to keep on track here)

Nait

(You killed it, Bleys).

When are we allowed to open our campaign-threads? :)

Loony BoB
01-31-2003, 01:23 PM
After the triathlon. Seriously, the entire election is really those threads. The final votes don't mean NOTHING.

Raistlin
01-31-2003, 02:42 PM
<i>"The final votes don't mean NOTHING."</i>

Reread that a couple times, BoB.

Agent Proto
02-01-2003, 02:49 AM
He means that votes mean everything. :p

Loony BoB
02-01-2003, 09:26 AM
The final votes don't mean something, anything, nothing or everything.

They don't even MEAN, man.

Spuuky
02-01-2003, 09:40 AM
It's his regional dialect. If you ask any linguist, they can tell you that he clearly stated a double negative intended as a negative emphasis, as per african-american dialects in the USA. Correctly stated, though, it should have been "The final votes don' mean nothin'."

Raistlin

Thank you for the translation, Spuuky. We really would be lost without you.

Sakura Yume gets to be Election Booth if she wants it. Nait, IM her with the password.

Tammy, don't forget to change it ;)

1) You HAVE to change the password - Nait isn't allowed to access Election Booth if he's in a party, let alone not counting the votes.
2) Ahh, TamTam, try and think up new ideas for how the voting will be done, too. Variety is a great thing. *nods*

Citizen Bleys

Or maybe think up old ideas. Y'know, like different from previous years, but things that have actually been put into practice in existing political systems. (I favor first past the post to determine who gets the slot, but you can go for proportional representation this time around, for instance)

It helps if you've taken a poli sci course. I could do it, but I'm probably going to run this time around, if I see a party I like.
