What do you wish was another mage color?

I vote green. Green sounds like a color a drunk japanese guy would hit on a dart board.

I think green would be a cool mage color.

green

But it should be a dark green.

Mauve. Just say it a few times: "Mauve Mage, Mauve Mage, Mauve Mage."

Black Mages should be black. Blue was just a solution to the technical limitations of the NES that became tradition. The Black Mage, in my oppinion was meant to be pictured alot like the Nazgul from LoTR.

Green would be interesting for a mage color... as the opposite of Red Mages, they would be unable to cast any spells at all.

Green reminds me of a Geomancer ala FF5, though they could also be brown, I suppose.

Grey is good to me. Strikes me as a Chronomancer.

Purple - The alternate lifestyle mage.

That was what I was thinking so I'm going with green.

I was going more with master of mucus with the Green Mage. But I guess geomancer works too.

Never know. With how I'm feeling I could very well be the first Snot Mage. As for an ultimate spell... The Snot Mage coughs and shakes in a corner, going from hot to cold. It may not kill anything but it'll sure as hell scare them off if they're worried about their health.

Mages don't need to have clothes with color corresponding to what type of magic they use, but black mages are black. Look at their bodies, not their clothes. I would find it pretty bland and stupid and horrible if they had black clothes on top of black visages.

So, I'll take a green mage. Whatever green magic is.

Besides, they wouldn't show up at all in an NES battle - black on black. Well, you could see their eyes.

Mages that only have eyes and hands... *Gets ideas. Strange and mystical ideas.*

Yeah, stay away from the Green Mage or he'll sneeze on you. It may not kill you right away, but you'll die sooner or later. Green Mage would be pretty damn darndy.

Grey would be the best. I'm thinking spectral or weather magic.

They were in FF3 also, don't forget them!

Anyway, on the subject of FF5, Time Mages from there should be given a colour (yes, COLOUR) like grey or something.

I concur, Gold/Yellow would be an astounding choice for a new mage. What kind of spells they would have is beyond me however :).

purple mage sounds fruity :D

anyway I was thinking...green mage should have to do entirely with plants

I know what you're thinking "thats teh geomansorzz!"

well geomancy costs no mana, and are earth spells, the greenmage would have poison and plant spells to cause damage, like vines and trees etc
