Enix?!

I've seen a few forums mentioning enix what is it? Whats it got to do with squaresoft? And it sounds good!

Enix- Best selling RPG company in japan that creates the Dragon Warrior/Quest series. They recently just merged with Squresoft and formed Square-Enix.

well if it wasn't for enix, squaresoft wouldn't have ever made final fantasy 1, since first squaresoft was making a NES car game called "Rad Racer" which sucked ballsack...and after they were seeing that dragon Quest 1 was selling really well, they thought of making an rpg that would surpass enix's dragon quest, thus creating final fantasy 1, and you know why he named it final fantasy 1? hinorobu sakaguchi said himself that if this game would'nt sell well, it would be his "final" gaming project that he would make, and then squaresoft go broke, thus making it into "final" fantasy. Enix IS the god of RPG's as thus they started the RPG era first ( though there was rpg's before enix, but they were very complex, and enix was getting millions compared to other RPG companies). This said, both of these companies started to compete against each other of who would get the best of the sales, though the problem was that squaresoft does really well in US, and in Japan it does moderately well, as for enix, it sells WONDERFULLY in Japan while in the US it doesn't sell that well... and if you people would have heard the Phrase "if you cant beat them, join them" that is exactly what square did to enix, as they merged together, hoping that it will become one of the best RPG company in the WORLD. As both are equally powerful, but well never forget that these WERE 2 companies who strived to make the best rpg's in the world!!!!

How could you bash on Rad Racer? It was probably the first 3D video game. I mean, Square included 3D glassed with each one.

Not to forget that Enix originally teamed up with Square to make Chrono Trigger, arguably the best game either company has created.
