Okay, I put "127.0.0.1 adserver.gamesquad.net" AND "0.0.0.0 adserver.gamesquad.net" in my hosts file (\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts, under XPee) and I'm still getting hundreds of popups at EoFF. wtf?

Because I think you need a popup blocker too, you've only stopped the ads themselves from showing inside the popups - I've set both my browsers to not allow documents to create new windows (popups) - I don't need them for any sites I visit anyway.

Panicware rocks hard, but I'm using Firebird for some damned reason right now.

*wipes away a tear of joy* Yes, use http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firebird . No need for seperate pop-up killing programs with Firebird.

I use IE, Phoenix, and mozilla, because I have a freaky internet connection that is sometimes buggy with one browser, sometimes with another. When Mozilla's loading at a rate of speed ordinarily associated with continental drift, I try IE, and vice-versa. "Switch browsers" isn't answer enough.

(And I lump Phoenix in with Mozilla because it has the same core, and hence when Mozilla's loading pages at a rate of speed ordinarily associated with continental drift, so is Phoenix)

I might have to...but I *HATE* Pop-up stopper, because it stops legitimate windows, too.

It stopped some of my legitimate windows with ME, but not with XP.

Yeah, it does. :/ Though, when I have to open a legitmate window, or expecting one to pop up, I just hold down ctrl.

Phoenix doesn't stop legitimate windows....

That's because ME = Multiple Errors. It's pure shite. Upgrade to Windows 3.11 if you're using ME.

XPee is actually the second best Windows distro.

Then what's the first best? XP pro is the best I"ve ever used (out of DOS 5.0, DOS 6.22, WIn3.1, 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP Home).

Windows 2000 Professional. It's a lot smoother than XPee (Runs everything faster; I just had to switch back to XPee because my DVD audio was all messed up, and it's like going back to a 56k line)
