I went to download the Shockwave Flash plugin for Firebird and the auto-detect thingy sent me to the download for jeffing Windows 3.1. Even when I manually downloaded the Netscape (read: Mozilla) version of the plugin and installed it, it won't work.

It worked fine in Mozilla and Firebird in 2k (and Mozilla in Linux, but I've never tried Firebird in Linux), but in XPee, it seems I can't see Flash unless I'm in IE.

All i could find was :

http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/faqs/flash.html

i think you should try the "registry entries " approach.

When you first install Firebird one of the links in the toolbar is "Plugin docs". See http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/faqs/phoenixwin.html . It gives directions for plenty of plugins. Shockwave even.

...which is Unne's way of saying...

No it isn't. I said "Shockwave even" because Flash and Shockwave are two different things, and I've had a lot of trouble installing Shockwave in non-IE browsers in the past, and I was surprised to see that it was so easy to do this time around.

I had more trouble installing Flash than Shockwave with Firebird 0.6. After I installed it and tried running Firebird it thought it was Mozilla and changed its entire GUI to that of Mozilla, but nothing actually worked. Then I had to uninstall it and I did it again and it worked. Weird stuff.
