I'm assuming that the thread trimming shears have been pulled out by the mods. They were talking about removing a bunch of pointless and old threads a few days ago so I'm guessing that they've been getting to work. I noticed that the post count was getting close to 100,000 in the General Chat forum a while back and now it's down to under 20,000.

Meaning that threads that had a last post of over a certain period of time were deleted because the size of the database is getting large.

Actually, Bleys has been doing most of the pruning lately around here :p Deleting of very old threads, in other words :p

I'm getting rid of useless crap that's just clogging up the DB, so that we don't have to go all nazi-like closing every second thread because it's not a doctorate thesis.
