My memory seems to have eluded me...but in the ending FMV, who's the person controlling the camera?

No it's Selphie for half the time. After Irvine bows to Matron he controls the camera for the rest of the time.

It's one of those cameras where you don't need someone to hold it up.

I thought I saw Selphie holding it up a couple of times, though, anyway.

Selphie is holding it at first, then she wants to pose a bit, so she gives it to Irvine. Then Irvine films some other girls and Selphie gets mad. Then he films Rinoa and blah blah. It was actually pretty well done, seeing as the rest of the game sucked. :D
