Did anyone think Squaresoft was being a bit cruel when they did the Cactuar sidequest?

They build up these cute little Cactuars, even going as far as giving them names and characteristics, and then the player is forced to beat the living crap out of them after you play cute little Cactuar game with them.

Elio's death was the saddest thing I ever saw. ;_;

I agree. I was like... THEYRE DEAD!!!!!
I thought hmmm, maybe Ive earned their respect and theyll go live in the village happily ever after. I didn't know they would die!? Oh well.

Yeah really. It's like Chocobo hunting O.o except you get to know the chocobos. It's terrible.

I especially like that short attention spanned one.

Heh, well they were a tad annoying, considering you had to walk over all that hot, sandy...err...sand for ever to find them!:rolleyes2

I guess it was a tad harsh to kill them off like that though, but if what Shuin says is true, much happier I am. :D

Well, you'll meet them in FFX-2's story Level 5 on Cactuar village quests.

Elder cactuar request you to bring 10 cactuar gatekeepers back to cast tornado for ward away those fiends who try to attack they village.
