Why the heck after you edit your post ( after few minutes or so) it has to show that you have edited it in bottom of your post?

And why it doesn't show the edit-thingy in Admins/Knights posts? I don't care either way; I'm just curious is there any rational reasons for this. Everyone who wants, can always add "EDIT" in their posts. And for example in Aiyon when you edit your post, there's checkable option: "Add last edited line in your post", or something like that.

In case you refer to something someone said in the thread earlier, then they edit it and try to be all sneaky to make you look dumb. That's what the edited by so-and-so line is for. =O

Hmm, I mean when I for example edit my post there will be line: Last edited by Mikztsu in ::insert time and date here::

But not when mods edit their own posts. :hat:

I think Linus is right, it's a politeness thing I think. Mods and admins don't have that show up because you can turn it off in the control panel.

It doesn't show up when mods/admins edit other posts either :D And yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a control panel setting too - if I remember rightly, we asked it to be checked quite a while ago too because I'm sure it wasn't at one point :p

If it's for politeness wouldn't it be just as polite if we saw that when the mods edited our posts?

That's why we stick Edited by in bold in posts we edit ourselves :p

It's to show that you couldn't figure out the mistake within the first five minutes. Then everyone can laugh at you.

Yeah, that's how I take it too. But those cursed mods get away from that also and can bask in their perfection.:mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: Grr.

You don't have to trust us, but you do have to put up with it. *cuddle*

*shrugs* I don't care who knows what I edited. I don't mind turning it back on, if it's really bothering anybody. (Other than Del Murder, he doesn't count)

It's not bothering me at least. I was just wondering if there was any reasons behind it.:):):):):)

I had no idea Award guy was a mod...:D

Like Mik said, it's not that bad. For the trusting issue, for all we know the mods and admins could easily edit our post so we look like a flamer then ban us for it.

Oh crap.....

Award Guy isn't a mod, but BoB is.

Bob Saget isn't a mod either.
